When I turn this hat around I'm a completely different blogger

It has been a long long time since my last post. My ibook screen got wrecked, and shortly (about a week) after the hard drive died. Luckily I got it backed up before its final spin. We've had an old Dell for a while now, but our computer desk is really not the most comfortable, so I've been reluctant to sit on the floor and type out a post. Also, we've had a lot going on the last couple of months and I haven't had the will, or the energy to post. This has "lot" has been of the personal variety, and therefore isn't within the confines of this blog.

I feel like the weather is on the turn here in Portland. Its been a slow turn, but it is coming around. Last weekend was great. Almost as much sun as when Amy and I where visiting the butcher. We spent last Saturday at Savi's soccer game, then I took Amy and the boys to Broughton's Bluff for a hike to the top. There was just enough scrambling to make the boys think that they where rock climbing. Julian got scared a couple of times, but kept moving. A good lesson for me to learn.

I spent the next day at Carver, hoping to use the mini-traxton on the project left over from last June. Sadly, it is still soaked, allowing me to get into more trouble. I dropped down into the bush to check out another rock pile. Apparently, while I was down there I come into contact with some poison oak. My left arm is swelled almost as much as Leroy's. But, I've got my pregnizone and hopefully it will be cleared in a couple of days. Sunday I'm going back to Carver with Chris. I'm going to work some of the routes that I've done a million times. Then depending on how I'm feeling, I may go for a redpoint on New Generation. This route has stymied me more times than I can count. Also, I'd like to get the gear I've left hanging up there. I need those #7 stoppers back.

A short post for such a long absence, but I'm going to try and get back in the rhythm of once a week again. Till then.
